Modern plain decor with purple woodwork in this very large knocked round open one room pub, aimed at youngsters. Outside there's a beer garden and a massive car park. Function rooms next door.
Not visited since it was renamed and relaunched in 2008.

The rather ugly 60s exterior hides a large very nicely done one room pub with a separate restaurant. The Tetley Bitter was top notch. The food looks good.

A fine pint of Directors in this enormous multi-roomed nicely done out popular bar and restaurant in a 70s building. The all day breakfast looks good!

This pleasant plastic food-oriented pub with one large open room looks like it was build in the 90s, although I'm told it's at least a decade older than that. Beer garden.

This food oriented knocked through pub has a nice antique-style interior with lots of fake beams. After refurbishment in June 2003 it became the first pub in the region to be non-smoking throughout. On a Wednesday afternoon it was deserted, but I bet it's busy with diners on a Sunday. There's a pleasant-looking beer garden and play area.
In 2009 I learned this had become a restaurant in the Loch Fyne chain, and is no longer a pub. Shame.

An impressive stone and half timber frontage on this large two-sided pub. In 1999 I visited the Dee Hotel and noted that, remarkably, disco lights and an LSTV had been added without spoiling the interior, but the same could not be said for the wired security glass which was gradually replacing the leaded stained glass windows. Wetherspoons have remodelled and very nicely redecorated the inside, and are providing their usual quality ales, although this seems secondary to the food operation. There's a nice beer yard at the back.

A wonderful dark multi-level interior with rough stone walls and floor, most of which is original, or so I thought until I received an email telling me it had bog-standard nicotine-coloured anaglypta on the walls in the 1960s/70s. Perhaps the stonework was there behind the wallpaper? The beer is excellent.
