Bridge Inn	Tetley / Carlsberg	The enormous main room is nicely done out in this busy, friendly pub which was full of a mixed age clintele when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Canon	Stones, Worthington / Carling	A plain traditional boozer with bar, lounge and back room. Oversize glasses for a full pint. Last visited 2002.	Townsend Lane / Canon Road

Clubmoor	Cains, John Smith's, Tetley / Carlsberg	An excellent pint of Cains in a rather splendid well cared for interior with dark wood panelling decorated with plates and flying ducks. Very quiet when I visited. There's a beer garden behind. Last visited 2002.	Townsend Lane / Vallance Road
Cockwell	Stones, Worthington / Carling	A very plastic and tacky one bar pub with a polished stone floor. Last visited 1998.	Breck Road / Priory Road
Edinburgh Park Docker's Club	Boddingtons, Trophy / GB, Heineken	A classic working men's club with a small pleasant bar and an enormous plain function room with tables in long rows. LSTV in the bar. Last visited 2002.	Townsend Lane, opposite the Clubmoor
Elm House	Stones, Worthington / Carling	A nice two sided pub, perhaps a little worn in places. Last visited 2002.	Townsend Lane / Lampeter Road
Farmer's Arms	Stones, Tetley / Carling, Carlsberg	A pleasant pub with two rooms plus a larger back room closed when I visited. Standard pub decor. LSTV. Last visited 2002.	Townsend Lane / Larkhill Lane
First Base	Worthington / Carling, GB	This was formerly the Royal Ancient Order of Buffaloes Club. Now it's a down-market, slightly grubby, cheap one-room boozer. It's very unusual nowadays to see oversize glasses and a free-flow pump. Last visited 2002.	85 Townsend Lane / Canon Road
King of Hearts	John Smith's, Webster's / Foster's	This fairly new pub in what looks like a former shop has one room divided by a low partition. At the front is the posh part, a very nicely decorated lounge while behind is the slightly plainer (and a little grubby when I visited) bar. The counter is in the bar half. The walls are covered with a wide selection of sporting photographs plus a few large mirrors. There are lots of TVs showing sport. Last visited 2002.	Queens Drive / Larkhill Place

New Broadway	Tetley	The bar side is plain, clean and tidy. The lounge side is very nicely done with dark wood panelling all around. (Shame about the rope-lights, though). LSTV. The only way to get between the two halves is outside. Last visited 2003.	Broad Lane / New Hall Lane
Rourke's Tavern	John Smith's, Webster's Green Label / Foster's	A large plastic nicely decorated wine bar, called Rourkes Wine Tavern when I visited, but they've dropped the Wine now. Last visited 1998.	Broad Lane / Broadway
Willow Bank	Samson, Vaux Lite / Heineken	A scruffy tatty bar at the front and a superb wood panelled lounge with a dance floor, real stage and wonderful arched ceiling. This looks to me like genuine 1920s architecture and it's a pity that it is spoiled by a large projection TV, a stack of beer crates on the stage and brewery publicity all over the walls.
