Boddingtons, Worthington / Carling, Heineken A pleasant and friendly one-bar pub looking a little threadbare, especially on the outside. There's a small beer yard hidden at the back. On my most recent visit, they managed to serve sour keg bitter. LSTV.
Grade II listed building.

Halewood Road / Gateacre Brow
Falstaff (Boulevard) Tetley / Carling, Carlsberg An up market 60s pub with plastic decor somewhat marred by excessive food publicity, including, on one occasion, a giant cardboard Father Christmas on the 2nd of September! The menu looks good.

Gateacre Park Drive / Rockbourne Avenue
Gateacre Hall Hotel John Smith's / Carlsberg, Holsten A popular hotel bar with pleasant decoration including a stained glass lantern. Now CLOSED and demolished

Grange Lane
Grange Manor John Smith's / Carling, Carlsberg, Foster's, Stella A large old house with a truly spectacular interior and an impressive, if somewhat overgrown, sunken garden behind. It's a shame the beer doesn't live up to the wonderful surroundings. "Fundays" kids play area and "Celebrations" function suite attached.
