Armchair	Stones, Tetley / Carling, Carlsberg	Outside, an early sixties red-brick free-standing building. Inside I found a nicely cared for open and light one room plain pub with sixties twee half-timbering. LSTV. Karaoke Last visited 2002.	Hoylake Road / Stavordale Road
Coach and Horses	Flowers, Trophy	A nice large knocked through one bar pub. The lunch time menu looks good. LSTV but the sound didn't work when I visited! Last visited 1999.	Pasture Road
Farmers Arms	Boddingtons, Cains, Flowers / Heineken	A nice lounge side in this two bar pub. A recent visitor reported that real ale is no longer available. Last visited 1999.	Garden Lane / Barnston Lane
Grange	Higsons, Tetley	A very nice (fake) interior in this large pub with two bars plus a separate function room. The beer was not up to scratch on my visit. Last visited 1999.	Hoylake Road / Saughall Road
Millhouse		Converted from a flour mill. Not visited.	Millhouse Lane
Moreton Arms	John Smith's / 1664, Carlsberg	Outside a typical large free-standing 50s construction looking rather tatty with a car park full of glass. Inside, a big knocked through front room, clean and tidy, plus a back room not visited. LSTV. Last visited 2002.	Pasture Road / Pasture Avenue
Plough Inn	Trophy, Whitbread Scotch	Nice decor in this noisy grubby plain pub with no atmosphere. The Wednesday night Karaoke/Disco was playing to himself when I visited! The Whitbread Scotch was awful. Last visited 1999.	Hoylake Road
Wetherspoon's Mockbeggar Hall	usuals	A large Wetherspoons in a converted shop, I think. Nicely done out, serving ales in fine condition and doing a roaring dinner trade on a Sunday afternoon. Last visited 2002.	Hoylake Road / Holt Avenue
