Alexandra	Burtonwood, Burtonwood IPA / Carling, Carlsberg	This plain well cared for one bar boozer was re-opened in November 1998 after a long period of closure. There are some interesting pictures of old Liverpool on the walls. The landlord told me they would be changing to Worthington beers soon. Now CLOSED, I'm told Last visited 2003. Ann Downie's Bar	Burtonwood / Carling, Carlsberg	In a large old house this pub has a pleasant comfortable one-room bar plus a large function room. Nice leather sofas. Last visited 2002.	Prescot Road / Elm Vale
Ashfield Lodge	Tetley / Carlsberg	A large nicely decorated bar area with a pool area at the back, plus another large room closed when I visited. I'm told this is now CLOSED.   Karaoke Last visited 2003.	Prescot Road / Lorne Street
Cattle Market	Tetley, Worthington / Carling, Foster's	This well preserved and nicely looked after 1920s pub has now CLOSED and has been demolished. Last visited 1998.	Prescot Road / Newton Road
Cattle Market Fun Pub	Vaux	A friendly lunch-time crowd from the fruit market in this down market two bar pub with a plain functional front bar with two pool tables. Note that there are two pubs next door to each other with the same name - This is the eastern one. After a period as the Cattle Market Fun Pub, with a purple paint job to match, this has now CLOSED and has been demolished. Last visited 1998.	Prescot Road / Newton Road
Corner Tavern	John Smith's / Foster's, McEwans	This large corner house has an open wooden-floored bar area and a separate side room. It is plainly decorated and kept nicely, and was remarkably busy when I visited on a Wednesday lunchtime. LSTV.   Live entertainment Last visited 2003.	Prescot Road / Green Lane
Derby Lodge	Tetley / 4X, Carlsberg	The usual nice plastic "Oak Lodges" decor, clean and tidy. Two bars plus a separate pool room with two tables. LSTV.   Karaoke   Live music Last visited 2003.	Prescot Road / Derby Road
Dino's (NUR club)	Calder's, Tetley / 4X	This rather nice night club, with free admission and pub prices for the beer has a large main room plus a small front bar and another upstairs. It can be pretty quiet, or sometimes completely dead, when there's no special function on. 01.00 licence. "Exotic" barmaid in the upstairs bar on Friday. Now CLOSED and burnt out. Last visited 1998. Edinburgh	Tetley / Carling, Carlsberg	A traditional two-room pub, apparently unchanged for many years apart from being nicely re-decorated. A nice leaded glass partition between bar and lounge. Last visited 2003.	Prescot Road / Laburnum Road
Fairfield Arms	Tetley, Worthington / Carling	A large, nicely decorated and very well kept two-room pub with a beautiful beer patio. Last visited 2003.	Prescot Road / Laburnum Road
Lister Hotel	John Smith's / Foster's, McEwans	This untouched (apart from adding disco lights) old two bar pub is looking slightly tatty. Last visited 1998.	Prescot Road / Lister Road
Old Stanley Arms "Dixies"	John Smith's, Tetley / Carling, Foster's	A nicely kept unspoiled interior, looking a little worn in places. One bar plus a side room and a back room. Last visited 2002.	Prescot Road / Church Road
Premier	Buchanan Best, John Smith's, Kelly's	This 70s (?) construction consists of one enormous open room containing two bars and a large dance floor. Rather tatty. LSTV. Now CLOSED. Last visited 1998.	Prescot Road / Green Lane
Prescot Lodge	guest, John Smith's	A nice preserved (or probably well faked) pub in the Oak Lodges chain. Last visited 1998.	Prescot Road
Stanley	Tetley	Scruffy outside, nice interior a little neglected. Semi-circular counter in a large room. Now CLOSED. Last visited 1998.	Prescot Road opposite the Old Stanley Arms
