Black Horse	Greenalls, Stones, Tetley	A very nice large pub with a separate restaurant area. Beautiful decor, especially the wood panelling. Last visited 1998.	Rainhill Road / Elton Head Rd

Coach & Horses	Tetley	This popular pub has a rather unusual layout. At the front is a very nicely decorated lounge with no counter and a plainer bar with a pool table. Further back is a second bar which is partially knocked through to the large back room. There's also a large conservatory.   Karaoke Last visited 2004.	Rainhill Road / Tasker Terrace
Commercial	Cains, guests, Tetley, Theakston	There are two bars plus a number of side rooms in this very pleasant well preserved traditional pub. Waitress bell pushes extant but not in use. Excellent real ales served. Last visited 2004.	Station Road
Manor Farm	Cains, Burtonwood	Very nice genuine-looking converted barn with an original well inside, the appearance is slightly spoiled by an enormous LSTV. A number of side rooms off the main bar downstairs and a restaurant and balcony bar upstairs. Booking is advisable for the excellent restaurant. Last visited 2003.	Mill Lane, Rainhill Stoops
Micklehead Green		A fairly new "bypass" pub in the middle of nowhere, concentrating on the food and family markets with a rather nice bare brick and wood beam interior. Brewer's Fayre food, Charlie Chalk for the kids. I'm told the hand pumps have now gone. Last visited 1999.	St. Helens Linkway / Eurolink Road
Rainhill Labour Club	Greenalls, Tetley	A nicely done and well cared for social club with a bar, games room and a large function room. Last visited 2005.	Warburton Hey / Park Avenue
Rocket	John Smith's, Tetley / 1664, Foster's	The lounge is very comfortable in this pleasant friendly two bar pub. Beer yard/garden. The hand pumps were not in use when I visited. Last visited 2004.	Warrington Road / Kendricks Fold
Ship	Higsons, Tetley	Pleasant decor in a two-sided bar and separate dining room. "Henry's Table" food. Last visited 1998.	Warrington Road
Victoria	Pedigree, Theakston, Younger's / 1664, Foster's, Miller	In 1998 I described this place as youth-oriented and grubby. I returned to find a very nicely decorated large two-sided knocked round pub, full of customers of all ages, and serving real ale. The karaoke was noisy but the layout meant we could chat in relative peace round the other side of the central servery. There's a beer garden at the back.   Karaoke Last visited 2004.
